I actually think they are trying to nail someone like Gaudlock. Considering Yogev and Gal who are limited offensively with unstable shooting but defensively strong (all relative, yeah...), signing someone who can have a 3pt diarrhoea attack at any point kind of makes sense. It is an overly simplistic logic but creativity isn't our strong side these days.
I also think that the marketing aspect is a considerable aspect in the decision. I wouldn't be surprised if the main question being asked in the planning meetings is "which signings would maximise the season tickets purchases and quiet down this Jerusalem festival in the media?".

Welcome to our forum.

I just saw Vered's item on Walla. Seems like a half baked article but if the facts are right then at least we have somenews. Are the season tickets sold out? If not then I do imagine it plays a role in management's signing strategy.
If Gaudlock signed then at least it seems management had realised that they have to pay for their amateur-ish mistakes with setting up the contracts for Taylor, Hendrix and even Devin. Whether Gaudlock is right for the team or not, he doesn't come cheap! Like I said before, the not so clever ones need to get smacked to learn a lesson and hopefully last year did just that!
